As the aviation sector continues to expand and grow, airlines must implement and maintain a quality management system (QMS) to ensure the continuing safety of passengers and crews and the continuing airworthiness of aircraft. In tracking the performance of their QMS, Air Seychelles has chosen Q-Pulse, a compliance management solution from award-winning Scottish software developers Gael Ltd. As the Republic of Seychelles' national airline, Air Seychelles operates inter-island services and international flights to 8 destinations on three continents. Based at the Seychelles International Airport, it operates flights to Paris, London, Milan, Rome, Frankfurt, Johannesburg, Singapore, Maldives, Mumbai and Mauritius, and is also the major ground handling agent for all aircraft operating at Seychelles. ‘We needed an integrated solution that would help us to track our progress efficiently and effectively, in terms of compliance with regulatory and commercial standards such as ISO 9001:2000 and IATA's IOSA,’ explains Vimi Lockmun-Bissessur, Air Seychelles' Head of Organisational Development. ‘As well as demonstrating compliance to our regulators, we wanted to be able to assure our customers of the safety and airworthiness that our compliance demonstrates.
